What others are saying about NBX:

"Thank you for the workshop. For me it was absolutely timely. I enjoyed every part of the instruction. It felt like you put a lot of time, energy and especially thought in creating a workshop that modeled the way people learn. Creating readiness by explaining theories of learning; repeating, reminding and creating posture moments; real practice techniques to take away with us; theory of music then more exercises! Whew, I'm tired remembering it. The intangible benefit your workshop (tools) and your personal message gave me was that I felt braver. I have a hesitancy to try new steps with people I haven't danced with before. You present a supportive environment that invites risk. I need to be out in that arena more; thanks for the gentle push!"

"I am still on a high from the weekend! Your instruction was expertly researched, thoroughly prepared and imparted to us in an engaging, sensitive and professional manner. I can see that you have a wonderful talent for teaching which I really appreciate. I was and am still challenged and love it. I now have a Dance Journal and have gathered all dance material previously gathering dust in a file drawer. A renewed enthusiasm and hope has surfaced. I want to grow as a dancer and can do this with consistent effort on my part. You are very generous with your knowledge and your passion about it is catching. Thank you so much, Eric, for this wonderful experience. I am left in a good and hopeful space because of your time, energy and thoughtful caring."

"Naked Basics was a great combination of theoretical and practical knowledge geared towards dancers wanting a clearer understanding of what they are trying to create.  I recommend it to anyone wanting to increase their artistry on the dance floor. Learning dance moves sometimes seems like dumping out a box of jigsaw puzzle pieces. The picture we are trying to put together seems chaotic for far too long. Eric's seminar is like putting the border pieces together for us: it becomes easier to see the picture we are trying to create. I often think of WCS as a language. First we learn the words and how to pronounce them, then how to put them together into comprehensible sentences, then paragraphs and full ideas. However, no matter how much we say, we can still be confusing or boring. Eric's seminar lays out the path toward creating poetry."

"I loved the way the workshop layered one piece of information onto another as we went through the weekend. You made musicality accessible and fun. There was just the right combination of classroom learning, and then actual dancing to put this knowledge into immediate use. Your understanding of the complicated rhythms of music and how they relate to the patterns of WCS is outstanding and your sense of humor made learning so much fun. The very useful booklet you put together, a great playlist, the before and after videos of our dancing, plus your critique made this an extremely valuable experience. Thank you!"
